Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the gallery, and only as much as they need:
- Shopify: our website, online shop and checkout
- Shopify Payments and PayPal: payments
- Zoho (EU data centre): email, newsletters (Zoho Campaigns), customer records (Zoho CRM), forms (Zoho Forms) and invoicing (Zoho Books)
- Google: website analytics and advertising (Google Analytics, Google Ads), maps and spam protection (reCAPTCHA)
- Meta: advertising on Facebook and Instagram, if you allow advertising cookies
- Artsy: our online artwork listings. If you contact us or buy through Artsy, Artsy's own privacy policy applies too
- Matterport: our virtual gallery tour
- Eventbrite and ArtRabbit: event listings and bookings
- Delivery and courier companies: to deliver artworks you buy
- Our accountant and professional advisers: where needed
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights. We never sell your personal information.
When we work with artists on a sale, we share only what is needed to complete it, for example the buyer's name for a certificate of authenticity. We do this only with your agreement.
International transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside the UK, for example Shopify (Canada and the US), Google, Meta and PayPal (US). In these cases, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires: UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Orders, invoices and payment records | 6 years after the end of the financial year, as UK tax law requires |
| Enquiries that do not lead to a sale | 2 years after our last contact |
| Newsletter subscription | Until you unsubscribe. We then keep your email on a "do not contact" list so we never email you by mistake |
| Artist and curator applications | 2 years, or longer while an exhibition is being planned or delivered |
| Analytics data | According to each provider's settings, up to 14 months for Google Analytics |
Your rights
